What is Micro-Needling?

Micro needling rejuvenates the skin by creating tiny microchannels into the skin with the use of small needles on a pen device. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, leaving you with visibly brighter, smoother, healthier and younger looking skin.

What does micro-needling treat?

Micro needling is amazing for improving the texture and pigmentation of the skin, visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves the appearance of acne scarring, deep scars and stretch marks, reduces enlarged pores and increases the absorption of products.

How long does the treatment take and is it painful?

​

Treatment takes approximately 1 hour and is virtually painless as a numbing cream is used.

How will my skin look after the treatment?

 

There is noticeable erythema (redness) following but this usually settles 24-48 hours following the treatment. The following days you can expect some mild flaking and tightness to your skin, you must wear SPF every day and keep your skin hydrated.

What area's can be treated with micro-needling?

​

Common areas for treatment are face, neck and décolleté but can done anywhere on the body.

​

How many treatments will I need?

​

At least 3 treatments will be required for visible results and should be done every 4-6 weeks (for area's with thicker scarring and stretch marks this can take up to 6 treatments for results).
