Dermal Fillers

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in our skin. Hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic, meaning it attracts water. As we age, our body’s natural production of hyaluronic acid decreases, leading to fine lines and wrinkles, as well as a decrease in our natural fat pads and bone density, which can cause sagging skin and the formation of deep lines.

Well placed dermal fillers are used to plump our skin, improve skin laxity, replace the lost volume from aging and enhance your natural features.

Lip Enhancement

Our lips are the focal point of our face and I understand that each person’s lips has a unique shape and size that requires an individualized approach. As we age our lips also naturally thin and turn inwards, that’s why I offer a variety of procedures that enhance the overall appearance of your lips, to shape, contour, and add volume, all while keeping your natural features in mind.

Perioral area (the area around our lips)

One common issue our clients come to us with are lipstick/smokers lines due to aging and continued use of the mouth over time. Fortunately, we offer dermal fillers that can soften these lines and restore a more youthful appearance.

Cheek Contouring

Due to our natural fats pads and bone density decreasing with age, this leads to flattening of the cheeks and sagging around the jowl area. Cheek contouring helps to replace this lost volume, plumping and lifting our skin back to its natural,  youthful state.

Marionette Lines (lines below the corner of our mouth) and Nasolabial Folds (nose to mouth lines)

Dermal fillers placed behind deep folds and lines can help to smooth and improve them.

How is the treatment carried out?

Dermal fillers come in a syringe and are done using a needle or cannula (a blunt needle).

Will I achieve my desired outcome in one treatment?

Dermal fillers done safely and as not to cause any undesired effects should be done gradually over time, so may not reach your desired outcome in your first treatment.

Are dermal fillers painful?

A numbing cream (local anaesthetic) will be applied to the area being treated and left for a minimum of 20 minutes. Dermal fillers also contain lidocaine (local anesthetic), to further assist easing discomfort.

Will I bruise?

Unfortunately I can not guarantee you will not bruise. It is important to remember there are lots of vessels and capillaries under the skin, but there steps we can take to help minimise bruising, such as avoiding alcohol and certain medications before and after your treatment. This will all be fully discussed with you at your consultation and a leaflet given for your reference outlining all you need to know.

How long does the treatment take?

In total with numbing cream and the procedure approximately 45-60 minutes.

Prices starting from:

Lip Enhancement £190
